Migration Workshops

“A person does not grow from the ground like a vine or a tree, one is not part of a plot of land. Mankind has legs so it can wander.”

Overview

Because so many doubts are connected with the phenomenon of migration and understanding, or mainly with the lack of understanding of this phenomenon on a European as well as global scale, we joined in education on this subject. To dispel doubts, to understand, to act to live with dignity, in accordance with our understanding of humanity.

We have prepared workshops that are an introduction to the history of migration. We present a historical outline, wondering what we owe to migrations, where are its threats and what is worth knowing to form my own opinion.

Classes are divided into two parts:

(1) Multimedia presentation, to introduce and engage the participants.

(2) Workshop for individual and group work , we use illustrative and education materials.

The workshops are targeted at  children and adolescents aged 10-15 years.

We have also prepared a proposal for the continuation of the workshops devoted to migration issues in the form of a project. Topics include: films, (not)lost heritage, famous emigrants: musicians, athletes, as well as the economy, and a deeper study of history.

So far, we have held workshops in Łejery and Spark schools in Poznań. We would like to reach more students with our workshops. If you are a school director, teacher or student curious about the topic of migration, please get in touch.
